Clouded Yellow on Buddleja

Welcome to the Garden Meadow Website

Here you will find practical information on how to create a wildflower meadow from your garden lawn without having to dig it up! The information is based on direct experience I have gained from creating a meadow out of my own front lawn. All I did was change the mowing regime, add a few selected wildflowers as seeds and plants then let nature do the rest. I have been amazed by the results!

I describe how I cut the meadow, the methods used to introduce new plants and show a list of species recorded in the meadow. The rest of our small garden is managed for wildlife and there is plenty of information about that too.

I have created this site as a complete beginner to website design and it has slowly evolved as I have learned new tricks and received useful feedback from readers. I hope you enjoy the current content. I designed this to be very visual, hence the large photos with a black background to make pictures stand out more. This Cuckooflower was one of the first
plants to flower when I stopped mowing.
